Building hope and restoring dignity for orphaned children and widows through faith, compassion, and support.
A Christian Family's Calling
Orphans & Widows Aid (OWAID) was founded in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2025 by the Venant & Joan Sindayigaya Family. Inspired by faith and compassion, the family answered the biblical calling to care for orphaned children and widows living in vulnerable communities.
Rooted in the teachings of James 1:27, our mission is to serve those facing hardship with dignity, hope, and lasting support.

Serving with Faith, Hope, and Compassion
Witnessing the devastating effects of war, displacement, and poverty on families inspired us to take action. We established OWAID to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ by providing hope, care, and support where it is needed most. From our headquarters in Nashville, Tennessee, we work alongside trusted partners to support orphaned children and widows living in refugee communities across East and Central Africa, helping vulnerable families find dignity, stability, and renewed hope.
Restoring Hope
Every family deserves the opportunity to live with safety, dignity, and hope. Through housing, education, healthcare, and sustainable livelihood programs, we support vulnerable families in building brighter futures.
Restoring Dignity
