A Safe Roof for Mama Rebecca
After losing her husband in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rebecca and her four children spent two years living under a leaking temporary shelter. Through OWAID, her family received a permanent 3-bedroom home built with durable materials, providing safety, stability, and renewed hope.
John’s Journey to the Classroom
At nine years old, John had never stepped inside a classroom. As an orphan in the Kyangwali Refugee Camp, education felt impossible. Through OWAID’s sponsorship program, he now attends school, learns to read, and dreams of becoming a doctor.

Nakivale Refugee Camp Update
Construction is currently underway on three new 3-bedroom basic housing units. Local volunteers are laying bricks this week to shelter three more fatherless families.
Kyangwali Refugee Camp Update
School term preparations are complete! Thanks to our donors, tuition fees for our Primary 4 through Primary 7 students have been successfully disbursed to local schools.
DRC Internal Displacement Relief
Emergency clothing drives and hygiene kit distributions were successfully delivered to 150 families escaping recent conflict zones.
