Learn which practical purchases support OWAID housing, education, skills and essentials programs.

What a practical program may purchase.

Housing support can fund iron sheets, nails, bricks, timber and local construction labor. Education support can cover school fees, uniforms, notebooks, textbooks, pens and pencils.

Skills projects may require sewing machines, fabric, repair tools or seeds. Healthcare and essentials support can involve provider fees, prescribed medicine, clothing, bedding and hygiene materials.

Ask for the project and the period.

An itemized expense summary should distinguish a planned purchase from an amount already paid. Ask which project a cost belongs to, the date, currency and whether transport or other necessary costs are included.

Receipts and supporting records may contain private information. OWAID can discuss available documentation and any redactions needed to protect individuals.
